Egon Muller draws fruit from the Saar's most superior sites, the original two hundred year old estate property at Scharzhof or the prestigious Le Gallais vineyard in Wiltingen. Muller owns a large portion of the stately Scharzhofberger property, the equivalent of a Cote d'Or Grand Cru, one of Europe's finest vineyards. So particular is Egon Muller about the quality of his Scharzhof Qualitätswein, that he may include parcels from Scharzhofberger, to be vinified around a backbone of fruit from Saarburg and Wawern, Wiltinger Braunfels and Wiltinger Kupp.
