From fruit grown to Templar Vineyard in Marlborough’s Awatere Valley, fully BioGro Certified. This low cropping site is managed with a focus on enhancing soil vitality to grow healthy and balanced vines, employing organic methods to work in complete harmony with nature. The most pristine grapes have been secured for Cellar Selection, the harvesting carried out with inscrutable timing to capture all the naturally juicy flavours. A fresh, fruit driven Sauvignon Blanc with lithe passionfruit, kiwi and citrus characters from nose, through palate to finish.
Templar Vineyard occupies two gently sloping terraces above Awatere River, each picked to optimal flavour ripeness and processed separately to provide a number of blending options. All parcels spend time on skin contact to enhance the intensity, followed by a gentle press, cold settling and racking. Cool fermentations are employed to retain purity of flavour and aromatics. Upon completion, batches remain on yeast lees for several months to build richness and mouthfeel. Components are racked and assembled, gently fined, filtered and immediately bottled, preserving the purity of flavour, freshness and superb palate richness.
Vibrant, light straw colour. A beautifully intense and lively wine, overflowing with aromas of ripe gooseberry, melon and passionfruit with hints of grapefruit, nettles and lime. A pure expression of Marlborough, mouthfilling and juicy with vibrant fruit, fantastic mid palate richness and weight of fruit, finishing rich and racy with a crisp line of acidity and excellent length. A match to salmon, green beans and potato salad.
