Muscat Rutherglen vic Victoria
The oval logotype with stylised R classification assures an exceptional level of richness and complexity, through a precious elevage of very old wines matured in well seasoned oak, infused with distinctive dry rancio character. The Muscats of Rutherglen are considered the world's richest wines and bear the mark of authenticity, only ever assigned to the great Muscat vineyards of the region.
The Campbell house style is essentially complex and elegant, capturing a rich purity of raisin fruit flavour. Picked at the very end of vintage, Muscat of Rutherglen (muscat a petit grains rouge) grapes achieve a very high sugar level. Only select parcels of premium fruit are included into the Solera. The stocks which provides the basis date back to the 1950s, only small amounts are withdrawn from this solera, ensuring the highest quality and consistency of style. Blended and assembled for optimum flavour and balance at the time of bottling, Campbell will not improve with further cellaring and should ideally be enjoyed soon after opening. Alcohol 17.5%
